More Details

Prof. Olubusoye will speak about his experience and challenges in making UI-LISA sustainable and what individual stat labs can do to improve chances of sustainability. Prof. Vance will discuss some ideas for sustainability of the network (regional networks, LISA 2020 Certificate, MOUs with stat labs, creation of self-governing committees within LISA 2020 [membership, funding, communication, technical], exchanges between labs, annual or biannual symposia)

Megan Miller from USAID will speak about general activities and behaviors of sustainable networks/programs. What are the red flags for an organization that makes it seem like they won't be sustainable? What are things organizations can do to become sustainable? What are the categories of sustainability (funding, numbers of members, enthusiasm of members, sustaining a common mission/purpose, communication, leadership structures)?
